I just found this on the Resurgence. Seems like a good caution to go along with what I talked about in engaging the culture yesterday. Enjoy.

Doing church differently...
Our vision for family ministry is both simple and significant.
Equip parents to teach their kids about God.
This includes both biblical, practical, and age-appropriate teaching on Sundays (John MacArthur’s Generations of Grace Curriculum) through Kidz Time and Little Groups as well as an abundance of equipping through print, video, and audio resources as well as mentoring relationships.
We believe the primary emphasis in the Scriptures is placed upon parents to be the primary channels of character formation and spiritual instruction and that it is the Church’s role to come alongside and equip them for this most important journey.
When it comes to Family Ministry, we love authors like Tedd Tripp, John Piper and James Dobson.
We work hard each week to create an atmosphere where kids of all ages can begin to develop a healthy relationship with God and others through pursuing four key values in two specifically crafted environments: Kids Time and Little Groups.
Picture a high-energy, highly interactive, engaging environment with upbeat music and an age-appropriate message and you have Kids Time! For many of our children, it has become the highlight of their week. Visit the media section on this website and you can get a small taste of Kids Time in video form. Kids Time currently begins at 10 AM at Kentucky Country Day School. For directions, click here.
These small group environments specifically designed to meet the developmental and learning needs of children take place while parents are at the Worship Gathering. They incorporate a multi-sensory learning approach using original music, crafts, and a teaching time that reinforces the story that was taught that week in Kids Time. We also place a premium upon children building friendships with one another and incorporating different learning styles.
For our smallest children, a safe and clean nursery is provided. Here your children are lovingly cared for and each child is assigned a number and you are contacted via our screen in the worship service if your child needs attention during the service.
