Community Groups

We believe life-change occurs best within the context of relationships.

Crossing has created a simple structure, called Community Groups, where these kinds of life changing relationships can begin to form.

These mixed groups of 6-12 adults (and their children) meet in homes weekly to pray, apply the Sunday message, and begin to share their lives with one another. Most groups provide qualified childcare on site for a minimal fee. Scholarships are available.

Though open to anyone, Community Groups will probably be of most benefit to individuals already on a journey with God who are seeking others to journey with them.

All Crossing Community Groups share the same 4 Values:

  1. Safe Place – We want “what’s said here to stay here.”
  2. Bold Love – We embrace intentional encouragement and biblical accountability (Matt. 18).
  3. Making Room – We seek to grow and multiply our groups through networking and intentional apprenticing of new leaders.
  4. Respect – We recognize that we won’t always agree about everything. But when we disagree, we commit to do so in a way that honors God and the other person.

Crossing currently has Community Groups meeting throughout the weeks at various locations.

Accountability Groups

Community Groups are a great place for life-change to begin, but we recognize that, as a structure, they have their natural limits. That’s why we have created Accountability Groups of 2-3 called fight clubs (Men) or mentoring groups (Women) to meet on their own schedules to ask each other the “hard questions” and take their spiritual journey together to a deeper level.
